Hi, my name is Rúben Bonito, I’m 25 years old and I’m with ITUp since April 2016. I was working as a documents archive worker struggling to find a job that is relevant to my study area in renewable energy engineering. When ITUp presented the opportunity of converting my engineering skills into IT skills as well as a working experience as a developer in 3 months. It sounds like a dream right?

I did 3 months of academy with ITUp, successfully completed my OutSystems Associate Developer certificate and after that I have barely seen Portugal. ITUp gave me what they promised plus the opportunity to work overseas as I have wished a long time ago. I have been in South Africa and Singapore representing ITUp as a developer working on mobile and web applications, growing as a professional individual whilst helping clients grow and progress their businesses. In less than 2 years I did 25 thousand miles flying over continents enjoying different cultures and industries.
