The Core Ramp Up Traditional is a trainer-led program teaching the skills to design, develop and test web and mobile OutSystems applications - while also promoting coordination, project management, and best practices. It is a comprehensive and hands-on training on the OutSystems Platform Core functionalities.
Its continuously updated curriculum promotes a thorough understanding of how to develop apps with the OutSystems Platform while enhancing expertise in, amongst others, architecture, integration, and performance.
The program comprises two modules: Developing OutSystems Web Applications and OutSystems Development Consolidation.

The Traditional Web Development module teaches OutSystems Application Development Core features using OutSystems materials. The training combines theoretical segments with guided exercises to practice each topic and a short project to wrap up all concepts. A full-time instructor will be on-site or in the virtual classroom to assist and support the trainees. At the end of the module, a technical assessment is performed to prepare trainees for the included certification.
This module simulates a two-week project implementation, dividing trainers in small teams, complemented with Master Classes. The project follows an Agile approach, with daily SCRUM meetings and weekly demos. It’s carefully tailored so participants can practice the knowledge obtained in previous modules and master the OutSystems Core features and common patterns. Master Classes cover other competences that are not addressed before, like Architecture, Best Practices or Management Tools like Service Center or Lifetime.

The demand for low-code developers, and in particular OutSystems Developers, is at a record high. Enrolling in this program will help you jumpstart your OutSystems career and be job-ready to work on simple projects.
This is a beginner-friendly program with no prerequisites. Still, it is advisable to understand basic programming concepts (for instance, Java or .NET) and relational databases (like SQL Server or Oracle).
Many of our students engage in self-learning these concepts before starting the program to better take advantage of their time while attending the course.

You will be evaluated in two assessments covering the concepts learned throughout the program. You will also need to attend all class sessions and complete all assignments.
The mentioned assessments also have the purpose of preparing you to take the included OutSystems certification exam and become an Associate OutSystems Certified Traditional Web Developer.
